Trump's blatantly illegal assassination of a military leader in a foreign country was a dangerous escalation of hostilities that will affect the whole Middle East region. Imagine if another country had done that to one of our generals? Fortunately, there is growing bipartisan support in the House and Senate to reassert Congress's constitutional war authority and prevent another disastrous and endless war. I encourage all citizens to take action by writing or calling their elected representatives and asking them to co-sponsor and vote for proposals that would prohibit the unauthorized use of military force in Iran or any other country. The President has the right to defend our country in a crisis, but we need to take away his ability to exercise arbitrary and unjust actions unilaterally.
