At 1215 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that an area of heavy rain
persists from northeast Botetourt to Lynchburg to Madison Heights.
Up to 2 inches of rain has fallen in this area during the past hour
and an additional one inch is possible during the next hour in
parts of the advisory area. Minor flooding can be expected in
poor drainage, low-lying, and normally flood prone areas,
