* Until 930 PM EDT
* At 526 PM EDT, a line of thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall
was organizing from Callands to near Philpott Lake to west of
Critz, moving eastward. Hourly rainfall amounts have been as much
as one and a half inches according to Doppler radar. Additional
rains totalling as much as 2 inches may be possible as storms over
western Patrick and Surry Counties move eastward over these areas
this evening. Expect minor urban flooding in the city of
Martinsville, along with ponding and minor lowland flooding in far
southern Franklin, Henry and southeast Patrick Counties. If
rainfall intensities increase even further, a Flash Flood Warning
may be needed.
