Expect south to southwest winds gusting 30 to 40 mph this
evening across southwest Virginia and northwest North Carolina.
Higher elevations may have isolated gusts close to 50 mph.
Wind gusts this strong will bring down large branches and may
topple outdoor furniture. Isolated power outages are also
possible. Winds will gradually slacken later tonight.
